Church of St. Mary of the Sapphire
The name of the Church of St. Mary of the Sapphire apparently derives from the colour of the Madonna's dress depicted in a painting currently housed in the Diocesan Museum. The façade is attributable to the 17th century.
Its former splendour, conferred by numerous works of art and popular fantasies, has now completely disappeared and the icon depicting the Madonna and Child is kept in the Cathedral.
